About me
Once upon a time, I worked in behavioral research, during which time I conducted psychological experiments on children, the elderly, and the sick for the government. Because much of the research I conducted was in education, it sparked a fierce desire in me to learn more about how we think and learn. And thus I used what I studied from my time in research to earn a Master's in Teaching (MAT)*.
I have been helping at TUG conferences since I was 17, when I worked the registration desk. After leaving the research world, I decided to put my education to a different use and help TUG provide quality education, a tradition it has been carrying on for over 30 years.
*Secondary Education in Social Studies with dual focuses in history and psychology. Once I graduated, I continued in research, designing a curriculum for a public health grant to reduce asthma morbidity in preschoolers by educating their parents on asthma management. So, if you have any questions about fairy tales, historical superheroes, or where to find instructions on the proper way to use an inhaler, I'm your person.
